Job overview

We are looking for an experienced, motivated, and enthusiastic radiographer to join our friendly and supportive CT team, working across both Newark and Kings Mill sites.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team that values professional growth and patient-centred care. The role requires previous CT experience and offers excellent opportunities for development and training. You will be involved in a wide range of examinations for Emergency, Inpatients, and Outpatients, gaining hands-on experience with advanced imaging technology.

With three state-of-the-art CT scanners across the Trust, we operate seven days a week, 12 hours a day, ensuring high-quality diagnostic services. As part of this role, you will work a flexible shift pattern, including weekends, evenings, and bank holidays, offering variety and work-life balance.

This is a permanent, 35-hour-per-week position, providing stability, professional development, and the chance to work in a supportive and forward-thinking environment. If you’re passionate about CT imaging and eager to expand your expertise, we’d love to hear from you!

Person specification

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Underpinning theory and professional knowledge acquired through diploma/degree
Desirable criteria
  • Specialist expertise, underpinned by theory and practical experience acquired through diploma/ degree/post graduate study.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • DCR R or BSc(Hons Radiography Post graduate qualification in CT

Further Training

Essential criteria
  • Trained to perform IV injections
Desirable criteria
  • Ability to Reconstruct Images

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Supervisory experience
  • Significant experience - This may be supplemented by short courses + CPD
  • Previous NHS experience
Desirable criteria
  • Teaching skills
  • Significant experience of working at band 5 level in a department rotating into CT Department.

Contractual requirements

Essential criteria
  • Extended days, weekends and bank holiday
