The HR systems and analytics team is part of the Organisational Development department where we provide HR systems and analytics functions to 4 separate organisations within the USW family in all aspects of people data management and analysis.

This role is a key enabler in helping to transform our organisation and progress our data maturity to the next level and beyond within the context of the 2030 strategy.

We are a team with a “can do” attitude where we offer a solutions-based approach to our customers. We are looking for an individual that has a curiosity to explore the insights in our data, to democratise it and to cultivate an environment for data storytelling, enabling our leaders to lead.

The Analyst is a key role in achieving our need for the provision of a self-service driven approach to ad hoc data requests, monitoring of KPI’s and automated outlier detection to alert managers to any issues in their teams. This role will also be involved in statutory reporting and working with internal stakeholders and working groups, providing insights in support of strategic and operational objectives as well as ensuring we have sound data quality and assurance management processes.

Knowledge of HR data, SAP Business Objects and MS PowerBI are the core skills for this position.

This is a fixed term full time post based at the Pontypridd Campus in South Wales where the successful candidate will be able to work remotely in the majority but will be expected to work on campus for part of the week.

If you are a successful candidate and this position will be your first professional services role at the University (or you are currently employed by PSS Ltd), you will be employed by Professional and Support Services Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of the University of South Wales, which provides services to the University and Colleges.
