37 hours per week (Monday to Thursday, 8am to 4pm, Friday 8am to 3.30pm) • Term-Time only plus TD days, 39 weeks per annum. (We are open to considering reduced daily hours arranged over Monday to Friday for the right candidate).

The Role

The Corsham School Academy Group is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Receptionist to join our administration team. You will be the first person to welcome visitors to the Academy, therefore excellent communication skills are essential.

About You

As a school receptionist, you will:

  • Ensure the main reception area is run effectively.
  • Be a point of contact for both telephone, face to face and student enquiries and take messages where appropriate.
  • Be responsible for signing in late students and passing on the information to the Attendance team.
  • Ensure that all visitors are signed in and issued with a visitor’s pass, ensuring that all visitor’s DBS/ID has been checked for safeguarding purposes.
  • Receive, sign for, sort and distribute post coming into the school.

Requirements

To apply for the Receptionist opportunity, you must have:

  • GCSE level or equivalent in English (A-C)
  • Experience working in a busy office environment.
  • Excellent Administration and Organisation skills.
  • An understanding of GDPR.
  • Good ICT Skills.
  • The ability to prioritise and manage a diverse job role.
  • A friendly disposition and a willingness to participate in the wider school life.

In addition, you will also provide emergency and routine first aid treatment for students, staff, and visitors (training will be provided).

The Corsham School is part of a small Multi Academy Trust serving the market town of Corsham and surrounding villages. It is situated in North Wiltshire, on the outskirts of the Cotswolds, 8 miles from Bath and within easy reach of the M4.
