Sheridan Maine is collaborating with a Bristol-based organisation to recruit an Accounts Payable Clerk on a permanent basis. The main purpose of this role is to ensure accurate, timely processing of invoices, prompt payments, and efficient follow-up and issue resolution.

Your responsibilities as the Accounts Payable Clerk will include, but not limited to:

  • Processing invoices and payments accurately and efficiently.
  • Perform account reconciliations and resolving discrepancies.
  • Review and correct payment proposals.
  • Generate self-billing reports.
  • Monitor credit notes and update logs.
  • Assisting with month-end closing processes.
  • Resolve internal/external claims and handle 2nd level AP queries.
  • Maintain supplier relationships and contribute to process improvements.

The successful Accounts Payable Clerk will require the following skills and experience:

  • Previous experience in an Accounts Payable role.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in SAP-S/4 Financial Applications and computer tools.
  • Ability to support process improvement.
