Job Overview
My client is seeking a skilled and experienced Multi-Disciplinary Project Manager to lead and oversee complex projects within the rail industry This role involves managing various engineering disciplines (e g civil signalling telecoms EP) to ensure successful project delivery from concept through to completion The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of rail infrastructure and the ability to coordinate across various teams and stakeholders
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage multi-disciplinary rail projects ensuring delivery on time within scope and within budget
  • Oversee the coordination between civil structural signalling telecoms and EP teams
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including contractors clients and regulatory bodies
  • Ensure compliance with Network Rail and other industry standards and regulations
  • Develop project plans manage resources and report on progress against key project milestones
  • Identify and mitigate project risks resolving issues as they arise
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress and ensure safety standards are maintained
  • Provide leadership and direction to project teams ensuring all engineering disciplines work cohesively
  • Manage project budgets track costs and ensure financial targets are met
Key Requirements
  • Proven experience in managing multi-disciplinary projects within the rail industry
  • Strong understanding of rail infrastructure and associated engineering disciplines (e g civil engineering EP signalling telecoms)
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver projects in line with Network Rail and rail industry standards
  • Excellent leadership communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and conflicting priorities
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to manage project budgets effectively
  • Experience in working under NEC3 NEC4 contracts is desirable
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering Project Management or a related field
  • Project Management qualifications (e g PRINCE2 APM or PMP) are desirable
  • Experience working on Network Rail or other major rail infrastructure projects
  • Full UK driving license
