Children Support Worker

This role involves working closely with families, educators, and healthcare professionals to ensure the well-being and development of each child.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to the needs of each child.
• Provide emotional and social support to children, fostering a safe and nurturing environment.
• Assist with daily routines, including meal times, homework, and recreational activities.
• Monitor and report on the progress and well-being of children, maintaining accurate records.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including social workers, educators, and healthcare providers.
• Facilitate educational and recreational activities that promote development and well-being.
• Support children in developing life skills, such as communication, problem-solving, and self-care.
• Advocate for the rights and needs of children, ensuring their voices are heard and respected.
• Manage challenging behaviours with empathy and professionalism, using appropriate intervention strategies.
• Engage with families and caregivers, providing guidance and support to strengthen family relationships.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices in childcare and support.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a similar role working with children and young people.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting children.
• Knowledge of safeguarding practices and procedures.
