Are you a keen educator looking to support a school as a Teaching Assistant in the Braintree area? A local secondary school is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic individual to support in their classrooms.
We are now looking for a dedicated and punctual Teaching Assistant to join our team and support students aged 11 to 18 across a range of subjects. This role is ideal for someone who is eager to support students' educational journeys and wants to make a significant impact in a secondary school setting.
Key responsibilities:
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
- Work with small groups and individual students to reinforce learning in specific subjects.
- Help students develop independent learning skills and promote self-confidence.
- Assist in preparing classroom materials and resources.
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports students' emotional and social development
The ideal candidate:
- A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their learning journey.
- A good understanding of educational practices.
- Experience working with children (in a school or childcare setting) is desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach.
- An ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification) is an advantage but not essential.
