We are looking for a HR Advisor to join our team in a generalist role. The role is a hybrid role, with a requirement to work 2 days a week in the office. Ideally we are looking for a full time HR advisor 37.5 hours a week Monday - Friday.

The role is a true generalist role, where you will bring your experience across all areas of HR, supporting in, recruitment, HR reporting, employee relations (grievances, disciplinaries, flexible working, absence management), learning and development, payroll, reward and employee engagement.

You will be responsible for:

Maintain and update document templates, including employment contracts, variation letters and other relevant correspondence. Ensure accessibility to the team and alignment with contractual and statutory requirements.

Recruitment - supporting on building a talent pipeline, building a LinkedIn profile, and actively managing the recruitment (working with the HR team to screen candidates and advertise roles).

Jointly collaborate closely with our payroll provider and the HR team to maintain accurate payroll processing and promptly address any identified issues. Issue precise payroll instructions to meet deadlines.

Oversee and monitor the Ashbury Absence Management process across the business.

Provide guidance and advice to line managers and the senior management team throughout the employee life cycle, including absence management, investigations, disciplinaries, grievances and capability hearings. Ensure a consistent application of the Ashbury policies and procedures, complying with employment law and best practices.

Provide 1st line support to the Head of HR in managing poor performance and offering solutions

Maintain and update the HR database (BambooHR) ensuring accurate date management.

Support in the identification and professional development needs of employees, developing and creating training plans to support learning and development.

Assist the Head of HR in preparing quarterly management information relating to absence data, key trends, payroll costs etc.

Support the HR strategy and Agenda

Manage reporting and cyclical activities

Requirements
  • Excellent understanding of core Microsoft applications
  • Previous experience in an Admin support role
  • To project an attitude of professionalism, commitment and positivity at all times.
  • Highly organised and flexible
  • Ability to multi-task and meet changing deadlines
  • Good interpersonal skills both written and oral
  • Be able to work with senior management and adhere to confidentiality at all times
  • Can work effectively independently as well as part of a team
