Design and Technology Teacher – Immediate Start

A secondary school in Poole is seeking a dynamic and passionate Design and Technology Teacher to join their team as soon as possible. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated educator to inspire and support students in developing their practical and creative skills in a variety of design and technology disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality lessons across KS3 and KS4.
  • Foster a hands-on learning environment, encouraging students to develop problem-solving, critical thinking, and design skills.
  • Manage classroom behavior in line with the school’s policies.
  • Provide assessment and feedback to ensure student progression.
  • Contribute to the department’s extracurricular activities and school events.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have a relevant teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
  • Be experienced in teaching design and technology at secondary school level.
  • Possess a strong understanding of the curriculum and an ability to adapt teaching methods to suit diverse learning needs.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Be passionate about promoting creativity and innovation in students.
