You will be number 1 in finance – reporting to the MD and key investors. The remit includes the full kit and caboodle that comes with managing the finance function of a growth SME – management accounting and reporting, presenting to key stakeholders and investors in terms of progress, opportunity and risk, budgeting, forecasting, cash forecasting and management, commercial MI discussions, cost management, scenario planning and modelling.

There’s lots to get stuck into and you’ll enjoy a high degree of variety and autonomy. The role is largely remote based – the team of developers are based across the UK. There will be requirement to head into the office perhaps once a fortnight to meet with the MD / Senior leadership team.

• This is an agile, innovative and aspirational VC backed group (currently in the £5m - £10m turnover bracket). You need to be someone with previous experience of managing finance for a modern SME (ideally within tech / saas or gaming sectors).
• ACA, ACCA or CIMA is a pre-requisite.
• Ability to work with a high degree of independence but also able to work collaboratively and proactively with the MD and wider management team.
• Able to present financial information (both routine reporting and ad hoc MI) to a non finance audience including key investors and the founder.
• Highly IT literate.
• Proactive – able to keep pace in a growth business where everyone will constantly challenge the status quo.
• Able to commit to a 12 month interim assignment to start Q1 2025.
