Wellow Livery - Equine Groom Apprentice (Apprenticeship)
grooming the horses before and after exercising them
mucking out the stables
providing fresh water
preparing feed and hay nets
general stable duties
changing rugs
As they are a livery yard it is important to be able to talk to their clients and help them with their horses, able to keep good public relations, and you must be able to work together as part of a team.
Work uniform will be provided, however own footwear and riding equipment, including body protector will need to be your own.
TrainingAll training will be provided on
site during your paid working hours.
Your day to day mentoring will be with your employer, and a combination
of online and in person monthly sessions will be held with your Haddon Training
Trainer Coach.
Qualifications requiredA
GCSE or equivalent pass in English and maths is beneficial but not
essential. If you do not have passes, we
will support you in achieving your Functional Skills English and maths
qualifications alongside your apprenticeship
Skills requiredTo be successful in this application, you must have previous equine experience and knowledge.
Prospects
Progression to the Level 3 Senior Equine groom apprenticeship or option of full time employment at the end of apprenticeship will be available to the right candidate.
