Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated English Teacher to join a specialist secondary school catering for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The role will be part-time, working on Thursdays and Fridays, and is expected to continue until at least February half term, with the possibility of an extension.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality English lessons to students with ASD in a supportive and inclusive environment.
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs and learning styles of students.
- Plan, prepare, and assess lesson content in line with the school's curriculum and policies.
- Provide a safe and structured learning environment where students can thrive.
- Support students with their academic, social, and emotional development.
- Work closely with the SEND team and other staff to ensure the best outcomes for students.
Key Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is highly desirable.
- Strong classroom management skills, with a compassionate and flexible approach to teaching.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with students and staff.
- A genuine passion for working with children and young people with special educational needs.
