This employer is recognised globally for quality and innovative deliverables.The successful Procurement Manager will be easily able to commute to HUDDERSFIELD from surrounding towns & cities, including Leeds, Dewsbury, Halifax, Wakefield and Brighouse.Key Responsibilities of the Procurement Manager will include:

Manage the day-to-day procurement operations ensuring timely, cost-effective and compliant procurement of materials.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as Engineering, Finance and Operations.
Provide leadership and mentorship to a procurement team, ensuring they are supported to meet quality, cost and delivery expectations.
Lead the negotiation, drafting and management of contracts
Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop action plans to mitigate their impact on production

Develop and manage procurement budgets aiming for cost savings without compromising on quality or delivery

For the Procurement Manager role, we are keen to receive CV’s from candidates who possess:

Experience as Procurement Manager or similar within an Engineering or Manufacturing environment
Experience managing and mentoring a team of procurement professionals
Experience managing departmental budgets and aligning strategies with wider business objectives
Ability to influence others using data or sound reasoning
CIPS/MCIPS preferable

A degree in Supply Chain Management is advantageous

Salary & Benefits:

up to £55,000 depending on experience
Flexible working hours
Monday to Friday
  1. 5 hours per week
25 Days annual leave + Bank holidays
