This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dynamic team focused on providing exceptional patient care in a state-of-the-art facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in Surgical Procedures: Provide direct support to the surgical team during ophthalmic surgeries, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and sterile.
Patient Care: Ensure the safety and comfort of patients before, during, and after surgical procedures.Collaboration: Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, including surgeons, anaesthetists, and other nursing staff.
Continuous Learning: Engage in learning opportunities to expand your skill set and stay updated on new techniques and practices in ophthalmic care.
Maintain Standards: Uphold the highest standards of patient care and hygiene in the operating theatre.
Candidate Requirements:
Professional Credentials: Valid NMC Nursing and Midwifery Council or HCPC Health and Care Professions Council PIN.Educational Qualifications: Degree or qualification in Ophthalmology or Perioperative Care.
Relevant Experience: Prior experience as a theatre nurse; all disciplines are welcome to apply, including Operating Department Practitioners ODPs. Experience in ophthalmic surgery or scrub nursing is highly beneficial.
Team Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively within a diverse team.
Personal Attributes: Enthusiastic and eager to learn. Organised and capable of managing multiple tasks. Strong problem-solving skills.
