Senior Teaching Assistant L3 with 4 HLTA hours (Maternity Leave)
What skills and experience we're looking for
The children, staff and Governors of Ecclesfield Primary School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, experienced, committed teaching assistant to cover a maternity leave.
The maternity cover is due to commence on Monday 18.11.24
The post will be in KS2 with a Year 6. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of our happy friendly 2 form entry primary school situated on the outskirts of Sheffield. This post may suit a newly qualified teacher to gain experience of working in a school without having the responsibility of a class.
You must:
- have very good communication skills both written and verbal
- have experience of working with children in KS2
- be flexible and adaptable
- be willing to work as part of a team and use own initiative
- have a sense of humour
- very good Literacy and Numeracy skills
- have gained a relevant Teaching and Learning NVQ Level 3 qualification for teaching assistants
- be an excellent, innovative classroom practitioner with a commitment to promoting high standards
- experience in a range of Numeracy/Literacy interventions
- have a willingness to undertake further training
