Our Category department is thrilled to announce a fantastic opportunity for a Category Analyst to join our brilliant team inNottingham.
You will provide analytical support to the Senior Category Manager and Customer Trading team, which will be integral in drivingstrategic direction for The Compleat Food Group & our customers.

Working Hours & Salary:
The working hours in this role are Monday to Thursday 08:30 to 17:00, with a 4pm finish on a Friday!
We also offer hybrid work-from-home arrangements. Travel will also occasionally be required to attend meetings across TCFG sites.
Salary: £34,000 per annum
Your Duties Will Include:
- Creating a 12-week performance report by subsector, sector and total category
- Populate slides for the external monthly reports, along with performance commentary and observations/recommendations to drive
- Update the internal promotional performance tracker
- Manage and update retailer price and promo changes through the Price Basket and share internally all SKUs on promo and position
- Create and issue New Product Development alerts for both internal and external communication
- Collate Christmas product logging and presentation slides (internal and assist with external documents)
- Channel performance reviews and recommendations
- Highlight trends and market drivers
Your Skills and Experience:
- Highly numerate with a logical & analytical approach to problem solving
- PC Literate & have working expertise of Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint.
- Have experience of using data management systems
- Excellent communication, presentation skills both verbal & written.
- Have the ability to work under pressure with desire to ‘go the extra mile’ when required.
- Possess strong organisational skills & ability to prioritise workload.
- Be able to demonstrate ability to use initiative & exceed expectations.
- Be sensitive in handling highly confidential data
- Experience of working for or working with a leading UK Major Multiple retailer or brand – Desirable
