Job Duties:
- Provide support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in the classroom setting.
- Assist the teacher in implementing individual education plans for students with SEN.
- Support students in their learning activities and help them achieve their educational goals.
- Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to the teacher and parents/guardians.
- Assist in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Required Qualifications:
- Relevant experience working with individuals with SEN
- Understanding of SEN strategies and interventions
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Education:
Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
Experience:
Previous experience in a similar role within an educational setting
Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge of SEN principles and best practises
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of individual students
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask
- Patience and empathy towards students with SEN
Preferred Qualifications:
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
- Additional training in SEN support
Working Conditions:
- Work primarily within school hours
- May involve some additional hours for planning and meetings
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies
- Support students in various classroom and outdoor settings
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
