Hays are partnering with a public sector organisation in Bristol to support with the recruitment for a new IT leadership role. This is a deputy director of IT (informatics) vacancy paying between £62,215 and £72,293pa depending on experience.
The role is offered on a hybrid basis typically working two days from the office in North Bristol.
Your new role
In the role you'll be responsible for IT system modernisation and improvement relating to digital design and delivery for critical internal IT services. You'll work with stakeholders across the trust as well as external IT suppliers. You'll take a lead on ensuring interoperability between internal IT systems and take a strategic lead across the department.
You'll also be responsible for budget management, presenting data and leading a small team.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role you will need to be an experienced IT leader with good knowledge of IT systems and IT service improvement. Ideally, you'll have some exposure working in the NHS sector or with informatics, but this won't be essential.
You'll need to have experience managing teams and excellent stakeholder skills dealing with large complex organisations. Managing large IT projects would be beneficial as well as supporting IT change management / digital delivery.
