Youth Support Worker

Sometimes growing up is messy. Really messy. That’s where we come in—and maybe where you do too.

We’re looking for grounded, emotionally aware people to support young people (aged 11–17) through life’s most overwhelming moments. As a Crisis Support Worker, you’ll be the steady, compassionate presence they can count on when everything else feels like it’s falling apart.

This isn’t just a job. It’s a shift-by-shift opportunity to make a real difference.

What You’ll Be Doing

Bring structure to the storm

Help young people regain a sense of normality through daily routines, mealtimes, school runs, and small but meaningful activities.

Be their go-to person

In moments of crisis, you’ll stay calm and focused. You’ll use grounding techniques, emotional regulation strategies, and good listening to help them find their footing.

Keep it real—and keep it recorded

Log everything clearly and accurately to ensure the team stays connected and the support remains consistent.

Work as one

Collaborate with CAMHS, social workers, and other professionals to create a united, responsive support system.

Drive progress

From appointments to school runs—or even just a trip out for ice cream—you’ll be there to support both practically and emotionally.

Keep growing

Regular reflective supervision and ongoing training help you stay sharp, supported, and effective.

Requirements

Is This You?
  • You’ve supported young people in crisis or with complex mental health challenges.
  • You stay calm and grounded under pressure.
  • You understand trauma-informed care—and meet people where they are.
  • You’re flexible with your time: nights, weekends, or last-minute calls don’t throw you off.
  • You hold a full UK driving licence and have access to your own car.
  • Bonus if you’ve worked in secure settings, mental health services, youth work, or social care.

Above all, you show up. You care deeply. And you believe that no one should face tough times alone.

Benefits

What We Offer
  • A welcoming, inclusive, trauma-informed workplace
  • Competitive hourly pay and clear progression pathways
  • Ongoing training and professional development
  • Regular supervision and regular reflective practice
  • The chance to make a real impact in a young person’s life
  • Casual dress—we care more about your presence than your outfit
  • A referral bonus for recommending someone who’s the right fit

Apply Now

If you’re ready to be a steady hand when it matters most, we want to hear from you. Join a team that leads with hope, works with heart, and believes in standing alongside young people through it all.

This role requires an enhanced DBS check. Safeguarding is a top priority, and all applicants must share our commitment to protecting young people.
