• Performing routine building maintenance tasks in one or more fields (e.g. carpentry, electrical, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, etc.).
• Conducting inspections of the facility to ensure all health and safety protocols are met.
• Monitoring and replacing light fixtures and bulbs as necessary.
• Maintaining inventory of repair equipment and supplies.
• Responding quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed.
• Performing preventative maintenance on tools and equipment by conducting inspections, cleaning, and repairs.
• Keeping records of inspections, maintenance, and repair work.
• Ensuring compliance with safety and fire regulations.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Maintenance Technician should have:

• A formal qualification in a relevant field such as Building Maintenance, Plumbing, Electrical, Carpentry or a related field.
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools and common appliances.
• Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
• Good physical condition and strength with the ability to work for long periods and lift heavy items.
• Experience in healthcare environment is a plus.
