  • Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum (depending on experience) + enhanced benefits & rewards and free staff parking
  • Basis: 6 month fixed term contract

We have a great opportunity for an experienced Procurement professional to join our busy, professional team on a 6 month fixed term contract.

About your role

As Procurement Officer you will work with our Senior Procurement Manager in supporting and developing our long term supply chain strategy. This will include consultation with contractors, supplier relationship management and ensuring maximum value is delivered to the Pegasus Homes programme of work.

You will work with other departments across Pegasus Homes to ensure that we are effectively able to implement critical procedures and processes across the business in relation to all of our developments.This will ensure that we deliver to our customers whilst gaining maximum return on our investments from a Procurement/Supply Chain perspective.

  • Work with the Senior Procurement Manager to help define and support the short and long term Supply Chain Strategy
  • Day to day monitoring of incoming contractor queries (financial, operational, escalations) and directing to the correct Buildings & Communities Manager or Finance Team
  • Reporting on financial benefits achieved by the Procurement team and by others
  • Assisting in the implementation and rollout of new contracts to the business and on-going management of these contracts
  • Assisting with the management of contracts, negotiating, monitoring contractual agreements with suppliers and compliance
  • Support the sourcing and new supplier identification and introduction, staying ahead of market trends, research and innovation
  • Project Management including supporting large tender exercises and the implementation of Framework agreements
  • Support the Senior Procurement Manager with post-contract reconciliations to analyse contractor performance and cost savings achieved.
  • Supporting the management of supplier performance, including cost and quality in line with the annual development budget programme

Please note: This role will be contactually based from our Winchester office on a hybrid basis, circa 3 days office / 2 days from home with some flexibility, to be discussed at interview.

About you

You will have previous experience gained within a procurement role, ideally within an estate / property or facilities management related role, which has included contract negotiation skills and an ability to support and develop framework agreements.

You’ll have been involved in cost saving strategies and have great relationship building skills, both with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.

Experience
  • A CIPS/IoSCM/RICS qualification (or working towards) - desirable but not essential
  • IOSH - desirable but not essential
  • Experience of working within a commercial environment
Skills & knowledge
  • Excellent reporting skills using various platforms such as FixFlo building management & Qube property
  • management (systems training will be given)
  • Strong IT skills - we use Google Workspace so experience of this would be an advantage
  • Highly organised
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good commercial acumen
  • Ability to work to tight project plans/deadlines
