A clear passion for supporting children of this age range is essential and will, in turn, be evident in the classroom and through 1:1 and small group interventions.
Working within the Lower School Department with a supportive and experienced team, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the dedication to provide outstanding pastoral care and support as a teaching assistant.
The successful candidate will be hardworking, creative, forward thinking and proficient in resourcing activities for interventions and small group support, while working in consultation with teachers within the year group and the Head of Section.All teaching assistants support a class teacher and lead 1:1 and small group interventions, therefore playing an active and significant role in the development and improvement of the department and the academic and pastoral provision for the pupils.
There will also be times when there is an expecations for the Teaching Assistant to help cover the class for small periods of time.
Hours of work are expected to be from 08.00 to 11.05 Monday to Friday
