As part of a patients therapeutic care plan and under the supervision of a registered therapist or assistant practitioner provide support with the practice of activities of daily living including personal care, continence management, feeding, exercise and mobility programmes and support registered therapists with home visits when necessary.
To be responsible for the safe and competent use of all appropriate equipment, checking equipment is safe for patient use and teaching patients to assemble & dismantle equipment efficiently. To be professional and be accountable for all aspects of your own work, implementing therapy treatment plans as prescribed by the Therapists or assistant practitioners and to report treatment results.
To assess patient understanding of treatment proposals, gain valid consent and to have the capacity to work within a legal framework with patients who lack the capacity to consent to treatment. Please refer to the attached Job Description for further details.

This is in accordance with the streamlining programme which aims at saving you time and improving efficiencies within the NHS when your employment transfers. Upon commencing employment with the Trust, all employees (except Medical & Dental Staff on national terms and conditions) are subject to a probationary period lasting a period of six months with an option to extend for a further six months to a total of 12 months.
