Valid UK driving licence required, travelling around the borough is essential for the role.

Enhanced DBS disclosure required for this role

Skills & Experience:

QCF level 2 or a relevant Social Care qualification
Experience of working with adults in a health and social care environment.
Completed a moving and handling course within the last 12-24 months.
An understanding of the physical, social and emotional needs of the service users.

Good verbal communication skills and the ability to write legible daily reports, and assess risks and individuals’ abilities.

Knowledge of the following: Dementia, Safeguarding Adults, Health and Safety

Strong skills in Microsoft Office or equivalent software (e.g., G Suite).

The service provides support and response to our customers 24/7 365 days per year, the shifts we have available are on a 3 on, 3 off basis currently, 6am to 2pm or 2pm to 10pm. The hours are based on an average of 26.25 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

Work flexibly on a rota basis to meet the operational demands of the service to ensure that the service can operate 24hrs a day 7 days a week including bank holidays.

Follow safeguarding, moving and handling, health and safety and customer care principles and procedures at all times.

Use of various IT systems to support the installation, maintenance of equipment and responding to the alarm activations

Following telecare alarm activations, to provide an emergency response in the customers home in order to establish the status of the customer and act accordingly to findings.
Work independently to install, test, maintain and disconnect assistive technology equipment within customer homes and designated properties.

Liaise with emergency services when appropriate.
