Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and passionate English Teacher to join a highly regarded secondary school in Leeds. Role Overview: As an English Teacher, you will have the opportunity to engage students with the richness of literature and language, using creative and stimulating teaching methods. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and well-structured English lessons covering literature, language analysis, and writing skills.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel encouraged to express their ideas and engage with diverse texts.
- Differentiate instruction to accommodate varied learning needs and abilities, ensuring all students receive appropriate support and challenge.
- Implement a variety of teaching strategies and resources to promote active student participation and engagement.
- Assess and monitor students’ progress through formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum delivery and contribute to a positive school environment.
Candidate Requirements:
- Applications are welcome from Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and Fully Qualified Teachers (FQTs) with relevant UK teaching experience.
- A valid DBS certificate on the update service is required.
- Strong subject knowledge and familiarity with the UK curriculum for English.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.
