Role Profile
Our client is a family run business in the FMCG industry going through a major growth phase and looking for a Production Manager to join and grow with the business.

Responsibilities- Manage and oversee daily roasting operations, ensuring consistency in quality and production efficiency.
- Develop and implement production schedules, ensuring optimal stock levels of raw materials.
- Supervise automated and manual packaging lines, allocating labor efficiently to meet demand.
- Lead, train, and develop production staff, fostering a culture of high performance, safety, and accountability.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant industry certifications and food safety standards.
- Take ownership of stock control, conducting regular inventory checks and minimising waste.
- Oversee equipment maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues to prevent downtime.
- Identify process improvements to enhance productivity and product quality.
- Monitor and manage operational costs, working within budgets to ensure profitability.
- Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate production schedules and meet customer demand.
- Support business growth, contributing to strategic planning for increased capacity and efficiency.
Skills & Experience
Skills and personal qualities considered to be essential to the role are:
- Proven leadership skills, with experience managing production teams.
- Background in food production, manufacturing, or coffee roasting (desirable).
- Strong problem-solving ability and a proactive approach to process improvement.
- Technical knowledge of industrial food processing (mechanical/electrical skills highly desirable).
- Understanding of ERP systems and production planning software.
- Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring high product and operational standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapting to business growth and evolving demands
