Field Service Generator Engineer
- Are you a time served (mechanical or electrical) Generator Engineer with experience in the maintenance of generator sets or large engines?
- Do you hold any electrical or testing certifications? EG - 18th Edition 2391/2-2395/6)
- Can you commission generator sets or similar power generation equipment?
- Are you located in the South West of the UK? (Exeter or surrounding areas ideally but can also consider Bristol, Bath, Plymouth based engineers)
- Do you hold a full UK driving licence?
- Are you hapoy to work a 1 in 4 call out rota?

What You Need:
Location: Based in the SOUTH WEST (Exeter ideal location) region with a full UK driving licence.
Time served mechanical or electrical engineering. Electrical testing certs ideal
Experience of working within the Generator or Large Engine industry
A willingness to participate in the 1-in-8 call-out rota.

The Nice to Haves:
At least 5 years in the generator or large engine industry.
Familiarity with DSE (DeepSea), COMAP, or Woodward control panels.
Competency with diesel engine diagnostics and alternator types.
Basic computer skills, including Word, Excel, and PLC languages.
The Role Details:
Reporting into the Service Manager the Generator Technician will provide maintenance, installation, diagnosis, repair and testing services across a range of diesel generator sets, switchgear, control systems and associated equipment. Our client's support is carried out at client's premises or other sites.
Key tasks include:
Carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance
Carrying out diagnostic, testing and remedial works on generators and associated equipment
Providing call-out cover for generator breakdowns on a rota system
Carrying out client site visits
Projecting spares requirements for upcoming and planned works
