Senior Project Accountant

You will also support the production of new contractual reports and play an integral role in improving processes and efficiencies within the business unit, with a focus on cost management and enhanced reporting. The role is based in Plymouth and offers a flexible working of 1-2 days in the office and a salary of up to £50k

Key Tasks to Include:

• Prepare project status reports and collaborate with project teams to maximise profitability while managing expenditure.
• Produce contractually required reports and maintain accurate reporting systems.
• Assist in the production of monthly financial reports, forecasts, and budgets.
• Provide financial analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and enhance internal reporting systems.
• Support and oversee the monthly invoicing process to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Drive process improvement initiatives, focusing on improved cost controls and management reporting.
• Undertake ad hoc tasks as required by the finance and senior management team.

• Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or ACA).
• Prior experience in management accounting or project accounting
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise work effectively.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and improving financial processes.
