Legal Counsel (French-speaking)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a French-speaking Legal Counsel to join a global consulting business in London. This is a critical role within the global team and the Legal Counsel will be responsible for providing comprehensive legal support across the business with a particular focus on the French operations.
This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys the challenge of working across a wide-range of legal matters. The successful candidate will enjoy the flexibility of a hybrid work model, with the office based in Central London.

Reporting to the Managing Counsel, key responsibilities will include:
- Review, revise, draft, coordinate and help negotiate documents for internal clients across global offices.
- Coordinate communication with and between firm's clients, internal stakeholders, in-house counsel, outside professionals and service providers.
- Assist with compliance and risk management matters coordinated by the Legal Team.
- Support internal teams with issues relating to human resources, employment matters and recruitment.
- Manage litigation matters and other general practice issues.
- Supporting consultants and the leadership team with matters relating to client engagements.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and attributes:
- UK and/or French-qualified lawyer with 2-5 years' PQE, gained from a reputable law firm or already in-house at a management consultancy or similar-paced business environment.
- Ideally professional working experience in both the UK and France.
- Must be fluent in English and French (ideally familiarity with using the language in a business context).
- Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, excellent proofreading skills.
- Ability to interact professionally with diverse groups at all levels.
- Proven problem-solving skills and ability to meet deadlines under tight time frames.
