The rate of pay for this casual position ranges from £8.00ph - £11.50ph depending on age.

We would love you to have previous hotel reception experience, but this is not essential as our Reception Team will provide you with full training.

About The Role
To meet and greet guests upon their arrival at the hotel ensuring an efficient, professional and friendly check in/out process. Typical tasks are;- To be knowledgeable about the facilities and services within the hotel and the amenities and attractions in the locality.
- To be aware of all hotel services and be proactive in the sale of these to guests
- To check in guests on arrival and check them out at the end of their stay, ensuring that the correct procedures are followed for receiving payment.
- To be responsible for accurate and efficient accounts and guest billing processes.
- To balance bank, cash, foreign currency and all transactions at the end of your shift.
- To answer telephone calls from guests and external callers.
- To assist guests with any reasonable request for hotel services
- Respond to complaints and find the appropriate solution
- To ensure that the reception area is maintained in a clean and tidy manner in accordance with departmental standards.
- Report any technical and maintenance needs.
- To ensure the security of reception and storage areas is maintained always.
- To comply with all health, safety, hygiene and licensing policies and procedures.
- To work effectively with colleagues to ensure a harmonious working environment where all staff are treated with respect.
- Any other duties as required by Management

Required Criteria
- Good Command of English Language
- Right to Work in the United Kingdom
- Must have previous Reception experience
- Must be educated to GCSE level or the equivalent with Grades A_C in English and Maths
- Must be computer literate and have excellent communication skills
- Must have a professional appearance
- Reception experience ideally gained in a hotel
