Beldon Building and Maintenance Limited is growing maintenance company that partners with property letting agencies in London. We are looking for a skilled and reliable Handyman to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of maintenance, repair, and minor refurbishment tasks across residential properties managed by our company.

You will work closely with our office-based Admin team, who will handle communication and coordination with property letting agencies, allowing you to focus on delivering top-quality maintenance services.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform general maintenance and repair tasks, including carpentry, plumbing, basic electrical work, painting, tiling, and other handyman jobs as required.
Receive job instructions and schedules from the Admin team, who liaise directly with property letting agencies.
Diagnose and resolve maintenance issues efficiently, ensuring the properties are safe, functional, and presentable for tenants.
Conduct pre-tenancy and end-of-tenancy maintenance checks to ensure properties meet required standards.
Replace or repair fixtures such as light fittings, door handles, locks, and other furnishings; install shelves, blinds, and other fittings as required.
Carry out basic appliance maintenance and troubleshoot minor issues.
Report back to the Admin team with updates on completed tasks, property conditions, and any additional work needed.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
Manage and maintain tools, equipment, and supplies provided by the company for job completion.

Coordinate with other trades or service providers as necessary to complete more complex maintenance tasks.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a handyman, maintenance technician, or in a similar role.
Proficiency in general property maintenance tasks, including basic plumbing, electrical repairs, and carpentry.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
Excellent time management to meet job schedules provided by the Admin team.
Effective communication skills for updating the Admin team on job progress and any issues.
Physical capability to handle the demands of the job, such as lifting, climbing ladders, and working in various weather conditions.

Professional and customer-focused attitude, maintaining the company's reputation for quality service.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in plumbing, electrical work, or carpentry (advantageous but not essential).

Previous experience working with property letting agencies or in the property management sector.
