Salford - Food Technology Teacher
Contract Type: Temporary (Summer Term)
Hours: Part-Time, 0.8 timetable (Monday - Thursday) with the opportunity to work full-time by doing a day of general cover on Fridays.
Salary: Paid in line with your Teacher Pay Scale point, £31,650- £49,084 per annum.
Teaching Personnel is currently seeking a passionate and fully qualified Food Technology Teacher for a secondary school in Altrincham. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic and supportive school community on a temporary basis, starting after Easter and running through to the end of the academic year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Food Technology to students at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 levels.
- Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that inspire and motivate students.
- Support students in their academic development and personal growth.
- Work collaboratively with the department and wider school team.
- Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed in practical lessons.
The Role:
- Part-time (0.8 timetable): Monday to Thursday.
- There is the possibility of working full-time by providing general cover on Fridays.
- This position will run from Easter until the end of the academic year, with the potential for an extension or future opportunities.
Requirements:
- Fully Qualified Teacher Status (UK QTS) with a relevant degree in Food Technology or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of the Food Technology curriculum.
- Experience in teaching Food Technology at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
- Ability to inspire and engage students with practical and theoretical lessons.
- Excellent classroom management skills and a commitment to student welfare.
- Available to start after Easter.
