The main responsibilities of the post: The role of the Practice Nurse is to work within their scope of practice. The Practice Nursing will provide and deliver a high standard of nursing care. The Practice Nurse will safely meet the patients needs to include; undertaking routine procedures including measuring and interpreting blood glucose levels, recording and interpreting vital signs, wound care, adult and childhood immunisations, smear tests and various LTC checks and reviews.
The Practice Nurse will be expected to carry out planned care to our patients. The successful applicant must be flexible, a good team worker, used to working under pressure, have excellent interpersonal and IT skills and be able to communicate effectively with patients and the team.
The practicenurse will be responsible for a number of clinical areas such as health promotion, chronic disease management, health prevention, as well as supporting the management team in the reviewing of clinical policies and procedures.
