Location: North London, Finchley/Muswell Hill - Across all Holmewood School campuses, as required

Contract: Part-time, up to 3 days per week (the number of days is dependent on experience, with 3 days for a developing therapist and 2.5 days for a more experienced practitioner), Permanent, 40 weeks per year

Full Time Equivalent Salary: £37,404 – £47,267 (pro rata for part-time contract and depending on experience and qualifications, aligned with the level of responsibility and expertise expected of an experienced Occupational Therapist)

About the Role

We are looking for an Occupational Therapist (Maternity Cover) to join our passionate and skilled multidisciplinary team.

The successful candidate will primarily be based at one of our North London campuses (Woodside Park, Muswell Hill, or Finchley Central) but will work across all sites as required.

You will conduct assessments, design and oversee tailored interventions, and work closely with our education colleagues to provide high-quality, evidence-based occupational therapy. This includes supporting the sensory, motor and emotional wellbeing needs of our students.

A more experienced therapist may have the opportunity to take on the Team Lead role, working closely with the Multidisciplinary Therapy Team Lead to develop the OT service and provide supervision to colleagues.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you are enthusiastic about supporting neurodivergent young people to achieve their full potential.

Essential:

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • HCPC registration
  • Minimum of two years’ post-qualification experience,
  • Experience working with paediatric and/or neurodivergent children and young people
  • Evidence of CPD in relevant areas (e.g. Autism, Neurodiversity, Sensory Integration, Executive Function Skills)
  • A flexible, compassionate and collaborative approach

Desirable:

  • Experience within a school or educational environment
  • Training or familiarity with Autism-specific or therapeutic approaches (e.g. SCERTS, Zones of Regulation, sensory integration, trauma-informed practice)
  • Experience supporting colleagues through training or consultation
