Are you an experienced manager who motivates your team to provide an excellent service?

Do you enjoy working with numbers and analysing data?

Can you build positive working relationships with a range of stakeholders?

If so, we would love to hear from you!

Benefits Realisation is the definition, planning, implementation and monitoring of the benefits of changes and improvements in an organisation.

We are looking for our next leader to manage a small, close-knit team within the Change, Governance and Assurance unit. With responsibility for monitoring benefits for all projects and programmes across the DVLA, you and your team will be in regular communication with stakeholders, promoting the Benefits Realisation process, supporting change initiatives and ensuring the process is adhered to consistently at all levels within the agency.

You will be involved in the whole process, supporting the identification of impacts at each stage, throughout delivery and beyond.

You will ensure that planning and re-forecasting arrangements are in place, track, monitor and create evidence-based reports for benefits reporting across the agency and externally.

You and your team will have an overarching view across the entire agency, enabling you to understand how individuals and teams contribute to wider strategies. This role provides excellent visibility and the chance to build relationships with a variety of stakeholders at all levels.

There are plenty of opportunities to work collaboratively and autonomously in this fast-paced role and every day will bring a new challenge.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

  • To raise and strengthen capability and performance of benefits realisation management within the Agency, providing a comprehensive support and advice service to business areas, customers and stakeholders.
  • Lead and manage the continuous improvement of team processes to meet changing standards and audit requirements and ensure the delivery of maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Manage query resolutions and escalation processes, providing advice and interpretation where needed.
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert for team activities and the relevant standards, legislation and best practice.

For further information about the role please see the attached role profile.

Additional Information

Applications will be accepted from full time/part time/job sharers. Full time roles at DVLA consist of 37 hours per week. Part time and/or flexible working may also be available subject to the needs of the business. If you have a flexible or part time working requirement, you should contact the vacancy holder in advance of making an application to avoid possible disappointment later in the process should your desired working arrangements not be compatible with the requirements of the role.
