Field Service Engineer

• Annual Salary: £40,000 to £55,000
• Location: High Wycombe, UK (with extensive travel)
• Job Type: Full-time

We are seeking a dedicated Field Service Engineer to join a team, based in High Wycombe but frequently working on-site at various locations throughout the UK, Europe, and potentially the Middle East and Africa. This role is ideal for someone who excels in servicing, repairing, and calibrating test instrumentation, and thrives in both field and in-house settings.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Assess on-site customer requirements and plan travel accordingly to meet those needs.
• Perform on-site service, repairs, and calibrations of customer instruments following established procedures.
• Manage on-site installations of new equipment and provide basic operator training.
• Prepare quotations for on-site work and maintain tools and parts stocks to meet all customer requirements.
• Keep meticulous records and write reports of all operations carried out in SAP and other systems.
• Provide remote technical support and troubleshooting to end users.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• College certificate in electronics servicing or similar field.
• Desired: University degree in a mechanical/electronics subject.
• Minimum of 1-2 years experience in the service sector.
• Proficient in analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, and research skills.
