Job overview
Provides a professional, effective, responsive and high profile financial management service that supports business planning. Post is responsible for the production of monthly financial management and costing information, to budget holders, using Trust financial systems.Information is produced to deadlines and includes processing transactions through the general ledger, transaction analysis, analysis of variances from plan, forecasting and advice on resource control.
Main duties of the job- To support the Senior Finance Manager and Finance Manager in the annual budget setting process
- To support the Finance Manager in the monthly Budget Monitoring and Control process
- To support the Senior Finance Manager and Finance Manager in providing a business support service to the Division
- To support the development of junior staff
- To be an active member of operational finance, contributing to its development.

Qualifications
Essential criteria- Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) Member
- NVQ level 5 or part CCAB Qualified
Knowledge & Skills
Essential criteria- Proficient in the use of excel spread sheets and other Microsoft packages
- Experienced in use of computerised finance systems to input data and produce and maintain financial records
Experience
Essential criteria- Previous significant experience in a financial management role
- Evidence of team working
- Working to and achieving deadlines
- Working accurately under pressure
