Residential Support worker ( Children's Home) - Derby

£23,795 - £24,835 + £50 per sleep-in

I am looking for Residential Support Worker staff to work at a beautiful children’s home in Derbyshire. The service provides a caring environment to children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties, and is a friendly, welcoming home.

In this post you will:

• Be responsible for providing day to day care for children and young people
• Work as part of a dedicated, caring team
• Ensure the home is kept to a good standard
• Carry out general household tasks including cooking and cleaning
• Safeguarding the welfare of residents at all times
• Supporting in activities, education or statutory meetings

• Experience of working with young people who have challenging behaviours
• A good standard of written and spoken English, sufficient to write records and reports
• The ability to work shifts, sleep-ins and work to a rota
• A full UK manual driving licence
• The ability to use your own initiative and exercise sound judgement
• Good communicator with excellent inter-personal skills.
