Exeter - PA to Head of Junior School and Administrator (VNOPS23) 81.08% FTE
The position is full time during term time (36 weeks per year) plus 6 days outside term time (81.08% full time equivalent).
Exeter Junior School, nestled within a larger campus, preserves the intimate and inviting atmosphere of a small junior school amid expansive grounds and excellent facilities. The post holder will be a confidential assistant to the Head of the Junior School and to be responsible for the efficient organisation of the School Office.They will work closely with the Junior School Leadership Team, pastoral and academic staff, the Bursary, External Relations, Finance and HR teams, and the administrative staff within the School offices and with external agencies.
Applicants will be highly organised, resourceful and efficient, demonstrating a sense of responsibility and pride in maintaining high standards. They will be a competent user of Microsoft Office packages including Word, Excel and PowerPoint and ideally have experience of using iSAMS and My School Portal (or similar school IT packages).
Applicants will have a willingness to learn and grow, with a proactive approach to understanding the school’s culture, values, and activities. They will be approachable and empathetic, showing compassion, kindness and emotional intelligence when engaging with children, families, and colleagues.
The hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. The position is term-time only, with 6 additional working days required outside of term time, scheduled in advance. The role will attract a salary of £27,000 (pro-rata £24,752 inclusive of annual leave).There are other generous benefits including employer pension contribution, free school lunch during term time, free on-site parking, and use of indoor swimming pool and fitness suite.
