The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic global business as an HR Assistant within our close-knit London-based HR team. This hands-on role provides the chance to gain valuable exposure to a wide range of HR operational tasks across the entire employee life cycle, with a strong focus on global payroll and benefits administration.

We are seeking a self-motivated, positive, and professional individual who understands the sensitive and confidential nature of HR. You should bring a solid foundation of experience in HR, ideally at least one year in an HR Coordinator/Assistant role and be either CIPD qualified or working towards your qualification.

This position is based full-time in our office, conveniently located within walking distance of Victoria train and bus stations (less than 5 minutes).

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Supporting employees with first line queries
  • Supporting the HR team with recruitment and employee on/offboarding administration for global and local teams, e.g. visa administration, background screenings etc.
  • Producing HR documentation, including contracts of employment, leaver letters, references etc.
  • Maintenance of Javelin’s HR system and running reports when required
  • Assist with global monthly payroll processes with support of HR team members
  • Working with benefits providers to administer benefits for our global workforce
  • Supporting recruitment activity as and where needed
  • Updating and improving HR documentation, processes and procedures
  • Support the co-ordination of the annual performance review process
  • General ad hoc administrative tasks as they arise.
Requirements
  • Degree educated in a relevant subject area
  • CIPD qualified or working towards a qualification
  • Excellent MS Office Skills, including Excel and Outlook
  • Positive team player who can work effectively independently but also aware of when to request guidance from the team
  • Previous experience in a similar HR Assistant/ support role.
  • Experience using HR Information Systems and/or Payroll System.
  • Experience with Workday is advantageous
  • Ability to manage and prioritise workload
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate sensitivity and confidentiality
  • Curiosity and determination to improve systems and processes
  • Excellent attention to detail.
