About the Role:

As an Aspiring Mental Health Assistant, you will be working closely with children who have complex social, emotional, and mental health needs, including ADHD, communication difficulties, Down syndrome, and speech and language challenges. You'll provide essential support to these children while working alongside a clinical team dedicated to their well-being.

This position is ideal for Psychology, Criminology, or SEN graduates eager to gain experience in mental health, social justice, education and training sector. If you're interested in developing your career in youth work, mental health advocacy, or social care, this is an outstanding opportunity.

Salary: £460-£500 per week

Sector: Education and Training

Contract Type: Long-term, 5 days a week, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM

What We're Looking For:

  • An Undergraduate Degree (preferably in Psychology, Criminology, or related fields) or previous SEN experience
  • A strong interest in mental health, autism, and learning/behavioural needs (especially SEMH)
  • Knowledge or understanding of mental health, autism, and behavioural support
  • Local commute to Stevenage
  • A passion for working with children and making a difference in their lives
