ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Senior Account Manager at SITA, you'll have the unique opportunity to partner with leading global clients across the aviation, transportation, and logistics sectors. In this strategic role, you will spearhead digital transformation initiatives, reshaping the passenger journey to deliver a fully integrated and seamless experience across multiple transport modes.

Your deep expertise will be instrumental in identifying new market opportunities, negotiating high-impact deals, and driving SITA’s success in pioneering cutting-edge solutions.

You will manage key accounts not only within the air transport industry but also across other critical sectors, such as maritime. As you help expand SITA’s footprint, you will leverage your understanding of customer needs and market trends to uncover new revenue streams and secure market-defining partnerships, building a robust sales pipeline for the future.

In this senior capacity, you will oversee the entire sales process from opportunity identification to contract closure, ensuring that each engagement delivers measurable value to both SITA and its clients. This is a high-impact role for a results-driven leader looking to influence the future of global transport innovation.

Please note that this role is based in Reading, with a requirement to attend the office 2-3 times per week. The company will cover commuting expenses to ensure a smooth transition and support your work-life balance.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Identify Growth Opportunities: Understand customer business needs and identify opportunities for growth within their operations.
  • Drive Sales Activities: Lead sales initiatives to meet both short-term and long-term objectives, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Manage Client Accounts: Oversee several client accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and engagement.
  • Lead Virtual Teams: Effectively lead and manage virtual teams to ensure optimal alignment and engagement, fostering teamwork and communication
  • Develop Account Plans: Create and implement ongoing Account Development Plans tailored to each client, aimed at fostering growth and development.
  • Engage with Stakeholders: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to implement and execute growth strategies.
  • Build Relationships: Cultivate strong relationships with clients, ensuring their loyalty and satisfaction by understanding and addressing their needs.
  • Sales Pipeline Management: Collaborate with the Marketing team to create and maintain a robust sales pipeline.
  • Influence Stakeholders: Influence a wide range of customer stakeholders to manage purchase decisions effectively.
  • Monitor Accounts: Keep track of account status, driving issue resolution as needed.

Qualifications:

EXPERIENCE
  • Experience: at least 5 years of experience in a sales function, preferably within the ATI (Air Transport Industry) or IT.
  • Client Relationships: Proven experience in building and maintaining client relationships.
  • Business Development: Successful experience in business development and managing sales pipelines.
  • Revenue Growth: Demonstrated ability to achieve revenue growth within a client portfolio.
  • Sales Targets: Consistent track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
  • Account Development: Experience in facilitating and driving account development plans.
  • Customer Service: Positive customer service experience, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
REQUIRED SKILLS
  • Language: Fluent/Native English speaker.
  • Sales Hunter: Proactive and driven, with a sales hunter mentality.
  • Autonomous Work: Comfortable working autonomously and as part of a remote team.
  • Customer Focus: Strong customer focus, with a deep understanding of customer needs and expectations.
