Role Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Key Account Manager to drive organic business growth and strengthen relationships with our existing key clients in the asphalt surfacing sector. Additionally, we are looking for the candidate to use their demonstrable skills to bring new clients and opportunities to our attention and grow our market share.This role is crucial to identifying new business opportunities, managing existing accounts, and ensuring customer satisfaction through strategic planning and exceptional service delivery.
The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of the construction industry, asphalt surfacing solutions, and infrastructure projects. They will be responsible for building those long-term and meaningful partnerships with contractors, government agencies, developers, and other stakeholders to drive revenue and expand our market presence.
The role is based from our London office (N1 5TY), however, you will be required to meet with clients at their premises or on site.
Role Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients, focusing on understanding their organisational structure and key personnelAct as the primary point of contact for assigned key accounts, ensuring their satisfaction and addressing any needs or concerns.
Collaborate with internal teams to deliver the best possible services and solutions tailored to each client’s requirements.
Develop tailored strategies for each key account to identify growth opportunities and drive organic growth
Prepare and submit all required documentation for tenders and bids, including quality submissions, certifications, and insurance details, while maintaining records of shared materials for future reference.Provide a weekly pipeline forecast to the Regional Sales Manager, outlining current opportunities and potential sales revenue
Maintaining detailed records of client representatives in the CRM, including contact information such as phone numbers, email addresses, and LinkedIn profiles
Support clients throughout their bid process, identifying opportunities to secure contracts through strategic relationship-building.
Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to ensure a competitive edge and position the company effectively.
Work closely with internal teams such as sales, operations, marketing, and customer support to ensure a seamless experience for the client
Coordinate with internal departments to ensure that client expectations and deadlines are met, and the service is delivered as promised.
Following up on returned quotes with clients to confirm satisfaction with the content and obtain feedback on our proposal.
Attend client meetings, actively participating in discussions and fostering strong partnerships.
