E-procurement Officer
Location: Stoke Pay: £350 per day Reference: 5261222 Type: Full-time, Temporary
Role Summary: We are seeking an E-Procurement Officer to support our Procurement Operations and Payments activity from source to payment, transforming Procurement & Commercial Services into a professional and efficient organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Value Addition: Work with services to enhance the sourcing and purchase ordering process.
- Value for Money: Ensure value for money by delivering savings against contracts.
- Efficiency: Create a streamlined, automated, and efficient process for ordering supplies and services.
- Buying Functions Development: Support the development of Central Buying functions.
- Category Management: Align purchasing activity with the Category Management team to maximize value for money.
- Buying Activity: Lead buying activities up to £50,000, including managing quotes, mini-tenders, and framework call-offs.
- Supplier Negotiation: Negotiate with suppliers on prices, quantities, delivery schedules, and exclusivity deals.
- Market Research: Research new supply markets and support the development of supply markets.
- Savings Process: Support and monitor a cashable savings process from contract and purchasing efficiencies.
- Supplier Engagement: Engage with SMEs and local suppliers to support sustainable procurement strategies.
- Invoice Reconciliation: Reconcile purchase orders with invoices.
- Compliance: Enforce the “No Purchase Order, No Pay” policy and Purchase Card policy.
- Catalogue Management: Support catalogue management and development.
- Commercial Best Practice: Promote commercial best practices throughout the Council.
- Technology Development: Engage with Systems and Transformation teams to streamline and automate the purchasing process.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Establish and maintain working relationships with relevant stakeholders.
- Ambassadorship: Act as an ambassador for the function within and beyond the Council.
- Performance Objectives: Adhere to the Council’s performance objectives and quality standards for procure to pay processes.
- Challenge Process: Document and report on the benefits of the challenge process.
- Other Duties: Undertake other duties as requested by the line manager.
