Who we are looking for

We are looking for a Manager to join our diverse team of 40, led by a Partner and 6 Directors. We advise the practice and Tax Leadership on all aspects of risk management, closely aligning to Tax strategy and the firm's growth priorities.

We are looking for someone who will enthusiastically embrace the challenges and complexities of managing a wide spectrum of risks on a variety of engagements. Someone with a collaborative mindset who is confident in working directly with partners, directors and their engagement teams across the breadth of the UK Tax practice.

  • Information security - safeguarding our and our clients' information
  • Regulatory compliance - particularly audit independence, legal services and FCA regulated engagement regulations
  • Conflicts of interest and sensitive situations
  • Proposal support - reviewing from a risk and contract perspective, supporting teams to assist them to win valuable contracts whilst protecting the firm

  • Educating the practice - communicating with and training the practice

The key experience required is the ability to:

The key skills required are:

  • Excellent problem solving skills - a probing and logical approach to unravel often complex and sensitive problems
  • A consulting mentality - the real risks are not always obvious at the start and need to be teased out
  • Excellent relationship skills - you will often deal directly with partners/senior team members and difficult client situations
  • A business brain - the ability to manage risk in a commercial and practical way aligned to Tax strategy
