We are looking for a Estates Maintenance Assistant to join our team.
We are looking for highly motivated and professional individuals capable of working well within our current Estates team.
Main duties of the job
To undertake, without supervision a variety of tasks which would include:-- Lighting checks
- Replacement of lighting tubes or bulbs
- Cleaning diffusers
- Fixing of notice boards, clocks, notices etc
- Replacement of damaged ceiling tiles
- Cleaning extract fans and ventilation grilles
- Replacement/re-fixing of toilet seats
- Replacement/re-fixing of hand/safety rails
- Inspection and first aid repairs to flooring
- Re-washering hot and cold water taps
- Temperature checks water services
- Care of curtain tracks, blinds etc

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
We are seeking an individual with the experience and qualifications stated in the essential criteria within the person specification.
This position is not currently eligible for a certificate of sponsorship in line with Home Office guidance as it does not appear on the skilled worker visa occupation list.
If you currently hold a different type of visa allowing you to work in the UK we would welcome an application from you. If your visa expires or there is a change in status during your employment, the Trust will be required to review your employment which may result in the termination of your employment to comply with the relevant immigration legislation.

Qualifications
Essential criteria- Good standard of secondary education to GCSE level or better in Maths English and Craft Studies.
- Computer user and application skills
Skills/Competencies
Essential criteria- Able to demonstrate a flexible approach to problem solving and broad knowledge of the work requirements and patterns of other trades.
- Able to use own initiative in relation to problem solving in order to resolve situations to a satisfactory conclusion.
- Ability to work as an individual with a minimum of supervision or as part of a team.
- Has had some formal H&S training.
- Has some form of formal qualification in a building service discipline.
Experience
Essential criteria- To have recent relevant experience of working within a maintenance function aimed at ensuring the quality and standard of the built environment.
- Able to substantiate at interview knowledge and experience in relation to the routine maintenance of building services and other relative experience claimed within the application form.
- Previous experience of working in a hospital/healthcare/care home environment
