The salary scale above has been agreed as part of the NHS Agenda for Change pay award for 2024/2025 and will be implemented in November 2024 backdated to 1st April 2024 where applicable.

Job overview

This post is fixed term / secondment for 6 months due to maternity cover.

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced, enthusiastic Community Nurse to join our team based at Mold Community Hospital. The role will involve clinic work and community visits. This post will be for 6 months to cover maternity leave.

Main duties of the job

The post holder is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of evidenced-based nursing care, working collaboratively and co-operatively with others to meet the needs of patients and their families.

Assist in the management and organisation of their clinical area and participating in the education, development and supervision of other staff members.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

  • NMC Registered

  • Evidence of post registration study and training, e.g. POVA, Child Protection, Intermediate Life Support

Experience

  • Pre-registration evidence in direct nursing care
  • Experience of providing holistic nursing care
  • Interest in developing nursing skills
Desirable criteria
  • Clear understanding of clinical governance framework
  • Implement evidence based practice

Skills & Competencies

  • Clear understanding of contract of care
  • Ability to document details clearly and accurately
  • Clear understanding of consent process
  • Basic IT skills
