Witham Prospect School is looking to appoint Residential Support Workers on various working hours per a week/pattern who are enthusiastic, dedicated, caring and highly motivated to support children and young people who have Severe Learning Disabilities, Autism and Complex Care to achieve their full potential.

Tasks

Day Residential Support Workers- working on average of 44.5 hours P/W

To work on two-week full time rolling rota on 12hours shift between the hours of (8.00am – 8.00pm). Your rota will include one full day for training every three weeks.

Day Residential Support Workers- working on average of 38.5 hours P/W

To work on a three-week rolling rota, with a combination of early shifts between the hours of (7am – 2.30pm, 7am- -3.30pm) and late shifts (2.00pm – 10.00pm). Your rota will include one full day for training every three weeks.

Variable Day Residential Support Worker- Working hours available are:

  • 18.5 hours per week on 2 shifts over an average of 2 days
  • 20.6 hours per week over an average of 2.5 days
  • 26.5 hours per week on 3 shifts over an average of 3 days
  • 34.5 hours per week on 4 shifts over an average of 4 days
  • 42.5 hours per week on 5 shifts over an average of 5 days

To work between the hours of (7.00am – 3.00pm) on an early shift and (2.00pm – 10.00pm) on a late shift. Your working hours rota will include one full day for training every three weeks.

Pay Rate for Support Workers:

£11.12
  • £11.46 per hour depending on your qualification and £15.00 paid(Monday
  • Friday Shift) and £19.00 paid (Saturday
  • Sunday Shift) for any overtime picked outside your contracted working.

Requirements

Responsibilities for the Care Role Includes:

  • To support the children and young people to meet their needs in the most appropriate way by following individual care plans and positive behaviour support plans set by our highly qualified therapist team.
  • Promote children and young people’s choice, independence, dignity, privacy and fulfilment of other rights.
  • Maintain a stable, happy and caring environment that puts the health, safety and welfare of our children and young people first, this will involve domestic duties.
  • Working with the staff team across all settings to always safeguard the children and young people in our care.
  • Actively promote learning during all programmes and activities during residential, leisure and educational situations.
  • Effectively support the children/young people and staff to manage challenging behaviour as and when this arises, using the approved approaches defined within their Positive Behaviour Support plan and Sherwood training.
