BMS Desk Technician (Improver)

Overview:
We are currently recruiting for a Smart Hub BMS Technician at Improver level who wants to learn how to investigate BMS issues utilising the Building Management systems - Trend 963 portal/Vision, KMC and RDM- and create daily/weekly reports – automated alarming—auditing remote sites pre and post-investment work, and carry out pre-BMS PPM review and working within the Arcus FM Bureau.
About the Job:
As a member of the BMS team, you’ll act as a point of contact for any technically based BMS enquiries, and support all key stakeholders by offering technical advice for all Building Management enquiries, gathering technical information from the CAFM and BMS systems, understanding trend analysis, and sending technical reports to contractors and clients.Other responsibilities include;
- Learn how to write strategy in BMS systems software, finding ways to save our clients energy and reduce their carbon footprint.
- Off-the-job learning: Apprenticeship in Building services or Advanced Engineering Technician (willmay involve travel to College or University).
- Evolve to be responsible for daily technical functions and duties associated with maintaining a webbased BMS System.
- Create innovative reports suitable for all levels of skillsets to understand fully.
- Produces work requests and initiates follow-up to ensure timely disposition and close-out of actions.
- Responsible for tracking action items and issues through to resolution.
- Assists the Bureau Manager with identifying areas for improvement within the Bureau.
- Interrogate control strategy within the BMS software
- Be capable to back up software strategy to safeguard it off-site for emergency use
To be successful you will have::
Specific Qualifications:
- 4 GCSEs in Grade C/4 or equivalent, including English, maths, and science. A mandatory requirement for Level 2 English and Maths.
Knowledge &Experience:
- Engineering experience, preferably in a retail environment.
- Mathematical and Analytical experience.

- Able to communicate effectively and at a high level
- Able to present and communicate with Peers and critical stakeholders.
- Able to negotiate, influence and use diplomacy with clients, contractors and colleagues.
