The Role: As an Assistant Management Accountant, you'll receive exceptional support and training from the Senior Management Accountant and wider finance team, gaining invaluable exposure to Management Accounts duties. Responsibilities include:
- Producing monthly management accounts, journal postings (accruals, prepayments, depreciation, etc.).
- Managing daily cash postings, bank reconciliations, and weekly cash reports.
- Monitoring rebate accounts to ensure timely and accurate payments.
- Reviewing financial performance against budgets and analysing variances.
- Collaborating with depot managers to gather KPI data and drive operational improvements.
- Supporting year-end preparation and liaising with external auditors.
- Nominal coding of invoices and analysing sales data.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be AAT qualified (desirable) with 2+ years' experience in finance/accounting roles.
- Demonstrate a logical, methodical approach and confident time management skills.

- Competitive salary: £28,000 - £32,000 (dependent on experience).
- Generous holiday package: 24 days (rising to 27 with length of service) + bank holidays.

- Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week (8:30 AM - 5:00 PM).
